Celeb Style: Shenae Grimes

Celeb Style: Shenae Grimes

What are your thoughts on these duster/kimono jackets? How long is too long?

Also, I know that it is mostly cold everywhere else, but Southern California still can handle outfits like this. Shocking I know. But this look can definitely be worn with some skinny jeans too.

Oh and Shenae, I kinda love you. She is too cute. That's all.

Michael Kors: Fall 2012 RTW

Oh so pretty. Michael Kors does an exquisite job at creating a brand that women covet to be a part of. I mean when I look at these beautiful creations I only wish...I guess I will have to settle for MICHAEL Michael Kors. But seriously, this collection is divine. Perfect colors for this Fall season, black, red, camel, and silver!

Also, loving the juxtaposition of the different patterns, prints, and textures. Everything from plaid to satin to lace to knit to fur to sequins. I die.

Lovely as always,
Naomi

Leopard

Beanie: F21  |  Anorak/Jacket: BP Nordstrom  |  Top: sample sale
Pants: Fluent Life (old)  |  Heels: MIA  |  Necklace: vintage
Watch & Studded Bracelet: BP Nordstrom  |  Chain-link Bracelet: J.Crew
Cuff: Lucky Brand (old)

Hi all! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, I definitely did. I made a 19 pound turkey!! And it was delish.

This look was super fun for me! I really feel like my style is changing and becoming a bit more edgy. I like that. Those MIA leopard platform heels, yeah I got 'em for under $15.00 and I am proud of it! I bought them a few weeks ago at Nordstrom Rack and they wereon super clearance, plus I had my discount. I felt like the luckiest girl on Earth. Just sayin'.

A few years back I bought these drawstring cropped powder blue pants and I have struggled to find an outfit that I like...but I decided to heck with my old ways. I made it work! I paired them with this fun high-low black top I got when I was sample sale shopping a little while back and a military inspired jacket. And can't forget a few accessories to spice it up even more ;)

Have a great Black Friday weekend...(a tad late I know)

Remember These?

Dress: H&M  |  Sweater: Anthropologie   |  Sheer Tights: Nordstrom
Knee High Socks: F21  |  Boots: Steve Madden  |  Necklace & Watch: vintage

Anything familiar in this look?! Should be because I literally wore this dress and
those socks only a few days ago...if you, ya know, follow what I wear.

But seriously, does this happen to you where you get almost overly obsessed with an
item or two in your wardrobe and you wear it a lot? Then forget about it for a while.
And once again get a reminder of how perfect it is and start the process all over again?
It definitely has occurred a number of times in my closet.

This dress may be my Fall staple item. Throw it on, layer it up, and go!

The AMA's 2012

My BEST dressed list:

Taylor Swift
Looking stunning as ever in this mini dress, showing off her killer legs along with some
pouty pink lips. Also, I am kinda a fan of those straight across bangs of hers...

Zendaya
Okay Disney has done her up good. She looks flawless with her updo and
that tulle and leopard dress is adorable. So perfect for her age and the occasion!

Nicki Minaj
I am literally obsessed with this look. Nicki looks insane good. So thin
and that color is too fun!

Jennifer Morrison
For some reason I am loving this ultra high slit. The nude peep-toe heels are
the perfect shoe for this daring gown. She works it!

And my WORST dressed list:

Jenna Bentley
OH MY GOODNESS. This lady must be cray. Literally. No.

Grace Valerie
The color is beautiful, but I can't seem to get over the chest area of this gown.
Too far. I mean, cover up a little.

Lauren Taveras
I'm sorry, this just doesn't work. None of it. Separately sure, but you just
can't combine them. Plus the hair just isn't right. Sorry Lauren. Get a better stylist.

Phoebe Price
Yikes...way too many accessories. This could have maybe worked if she took off the ridiculously huge Chanel earrings, the feather piece in her hair, get rid of the gold blazer (too far), and say bye to that cocktail ring. Sometimes simple is better!!

Do you agree? Who was your favorite from last night's American Music Awards?!

Eye of an Eagle

Eye of an Eagle

How cool is that Zara statement necklace?! Literally an eagle. I'm pretty sure I would
love to own this.

This outfit would be fun for a holiday party or a fancy dinner out. Love it.

Have a fun weekend!!

Straight Thuggin'

Beanie: Forever 21  |  Sweater: thrifted  |  Dress: H&M  |  Knee-highs: Forever 21
Ankle Booties: REPORT  |  Bag: Forever 21  |  Lipstick: TOPSHOP  |  Rings: gifted

The other day I had a mini shopping spree at F21, as you can see in this outfit... This look is super edgy, especially that beanie and those socks. I don't know if you have noticed, but over the knee socks are kinda a thing right now. So I decided, yeah I will test it out. The socks I am sporting are major cute, they just don't stay up. Try a pair that is a little better quality, maybe these from Banana Republic.

Today one of my friends and I drove up to The Grove in LA for a little shopping and hoping to spot some celebs. I'll tell you, we shopped...but no celebs. We did see some STYLEistas, tourists, and a ton of holiday decorations. It was so fun!! Being there got me thinking, I need to incorporate some street style to this 'lil bloggy of mine. So I am on it. Hoping to snap some quality shots of those daring STYLEistas.

Be on the look out.

Beauty Tricks

Let me tell you some of my most prized beauty tricks...

No. 1: Chapstick. Always, and I truly mean always, carry some with you. No one likes cracked and dry lips. And if you like color, go for a tinted chapstick.

No. 2: Cetaphil. Face wash and lotion. I am all about this stuff. It is a necessity. Make sure to wash and lotion morning and night.

No. 3: Tinted moisturizer. No, I do not pay extra cash for that stuff. Here's the trick, mix a drop of your liquid foundation and a pump of face lotion then go about your ordinary business when applying your foundation. My skin always feels way way better when I follow this.

No. 4: Baby oil. Use this miracle stuff two ways; one, to remove eye makeup and two, in replacement of shaving cream. It leaves your skin feeling super moisturized and you'll save money!

No. 5: Mascara. My favorite is the Hypnôse Drama' Instant Full Body Volume Mascara by Lancôme. People confuse my lashes with falsies when I wear this magical mascara. The brush is awesome.

No. 6: Buns. Feeling like you just don't have time, lazy, or are having a bad hair day...there is a
simple solution. Put that hair in a high bun. If you love 'em, make it extra special using a sock. Sock buns rock.

^^ A little "how to guide" on sock buns...she is hilarious btw.

Try some of these, guaranteed you will love 'em!

Naomi

Celeb Style: Blake Lively

Celeb Style: Blake Lively

Hot or not?

Blake Lively is a honey. She looks ah-may-zing in everything she wears and this is no exception. She (and her stylist) really have this whole outfit thing down, I mean I have never really seen her look bad. These high waisted shorts do great things for a woman's leg; making them appear longer and leaner. This look was definitely for some sort of an appearance, but an everyday girl like you and I could pull something off like this on a date, to a club, or just because you want to. Fashion is all about being unique, so be it. Wear things because you want to, it doesn't matter where or when.
